Organ a la Carte - Concert Series
Fridays July 16, 23, 30 and August 6 at 12:10 pm
Organ à la Carte is Calgary's longest-running concert series that offers FREE noon-hour organ recitals to Calgary audiences.
For over 20 years, summer concert-goers have enjoyed the unique opportunity to hear the King of Instruments - the pipe organ - played within the grand space of Jack Singer Concert Hall.
This summer, Organ à la Carte is on the move. The concert series moves one city block, from the Jack Singer Concert Hall to the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer - a century-old Cathedral located on the NW corner of Olympic Plaza.
When you walk through the arched doorway, you will enter into a historic space of stained-glass and gothic architecture.....and meet another one of Calgary's King of Instruments - a magnificent Casavant Freres pipe organ, originally installed in 1906, and whose pipes sing the stories of the past hundred years and beyond.
Whether you are coming to relax, re-energize, or spend an hour in musical bliss, make Friday lunch hours the time to open your senses to the beautiful shapes and tones of architecture and pipe organ music.
Organ à la Carte offers FOUR summer pipe organ concerts in 2010:

| July 30th | Chellan Hoffman | August 6th | James Picken |
