Catherine Lippitt began her musical training in Calgary, Alberta, singing in Choirs. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Manitoba and a Masters of Music from the University of Western Ontario, both in Vocal Performance. She also holds a Licentiate Diploma from the Western Board of Music. In addition to choral music, Catherine also enjoys singing Opera, Oratorio, and in Recital. She has performed as a soloist with the Calgary Bach Festival Society, The Church of Latter-Day Saints Presentation of Messiah, and with the Music at Noon series for the ProArts Society. She is currently the Soprano Section Leader for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus and sang as an alternate this past season with Pro Coro, in Edmonton.  She is a member of the Canadian Chamber Choir, a 17 voice, a capella ensemble made up of singers from across Canada. This group gets together twice a year, for a week at a time, to do master classes, workshops, and performances in communities all over the country. Catherine is a founding member of La VIe, a ladies vocal ensemble, with five other local singers.
