Local Arts supporters Gene and Elizabeth Maurice continue to generously support the ProArts@Noon Concert Series and recently awarded the ProArts Society funding to undertake the 2022 Choral Music Concert Series, which will feature a diverse selection from Calgary’s Choral community.
This special series will be part of the ProArts@Noon weekly schedule of Wednesday concerts.
Now in its twentieth season, the ProArts@Noon Concert Series of free, noon hour concerts is presented by the ProArts Society, who rent the historic Cathedral Church in the heart of Calgary’s Cultural District to present their weekly concerts.

Collegium Musicum – Early music chorus April 20, 2022
Collegium Musicum is the University of Calgary’s ensemble dedicated to the study and performance of early music (usually meaning music from Bach’s time and before). Made up of 18 singers and instrumentalists from across the University of Calgary, Collegium Musicum is delighted to present some of our work from this term for the Pro Arts Society.
EnChor Choir July 06, 2022
EnChor Chamber choir is an auditioned ensemble, made up of singers from diverse walks of life, who share a passion for choral music. Founded and directed by Elizabeth Paynter, EnChor shares their music in and around Calgary, and also tours regularly. Their most recent adventure was to the Kathaumixw International Choral Festival, where they placed second in the Adult Mixed Choir Competition.
Here Comes Treble August 17, 2022
Here Comes Treble is a quartet of friends who share a passion for music. Throughout the years, they have sung in different groups and performed on various stages. They explore different music genres (from classical to modern jazz) and they love challenging and unique song arrangements. A band teacher, a retired customer service specialist, a Spanish teacher, and a retired geophysicist come together to share with you their love of music and present songs from different eras, with a special touch.
German Canadian Male Chorus September 28, 2022
The German Canadian Male Chorus of Calgary, with over 30 active members, was founded in 1971. For a majority of that time our fate has been in the capable hands of director Susan Woodward. The events calendar in various years has typically included a fall or spring concert, sometimes sharing the stage with groups like the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, the Calgary Opera Chorus, or the Calgary Concert Band. The Chorus has made numerous trips abroad to the USA and to Europe. In September 2014 the Chorus was in southern Germany and Austria giving concerts together with local choirs.

Calgary Renaissance Singers & Players aim to inspire, entertain and educate their audience and singing members alike through the mhttp://www.renaissance-singers.com/usic, culture and history of the Renaissance. The group enriches its performances with works of other periods that celebrate the spirit of the Renaissance. CRSP thrives on new creative opportunities: from singing at the planetarium to acting, dancing and playing instruments, and from collaborating with brass, harpsichord and recorder players to jamming with jazz saxophonists.
