Platinum certified Canadian producer and avant-pop artist Hello Moth creates unsettlingly inventive genre-fluid music inspired by artists like David Bowie, St. Vincent, and The Knife.
He has toured extensively in Canada and across Europe in support of his own releases (2 full length albums and an EP), and is preparing a new album for 2020. His collaborations with other artists have seen success domestically and internationally—his sound can be found in the catalogues of major labels as near as the USA (Sony) and as far reaching as Hungary (Magneoton).
Concerts at the Cathedral are always special for me. The cacophony of the nightclub fades to memory, replaced by the quiet attention of a sacred space ready to hold my music and sing it back in lush reverberations. I can perform more vulnerable repertoire here without fearing it will get lost in the din of an average bar gig. By that same token, many songs I’ve written with the loud club environment in mind would overwhelm the acoustics of the cathedral. Because of this, today’s concert will focus on the gentler and more ethereal side of my art—wispy dreamstate ghost music for your Wednesday afternoon. Come see the softer side of Moth. ~Hello Moth
