Notre Dame High School Vocal Ensemble comprises of singers in grades 10-12 under the direction of Lisa Stelmack and piano accompanist Egor Ukoloff. The ensemble members rehearse twice a week after school hours throughout the year. This year they have performed the National Anthem at McMahon Stadium for football and at the Saddledome for a Hitmen game. They have also performed for the CCSD High School Advent Choral Festival, Calgary ChoralFest, school and community concerts, and events. They are very excited and honoured to have been invited to perform for the ProArts at Noon Concert Series. The students share a love for music and song. When they attend rehearsals, concerts, or performances, they do so for their passion of singing. This is what unites them and ultimately creates a passion for life within. They hope you enjoy their performance.
ABOUT THE CONCERT: Love is the focus this year and the final part of our Calgary Catholic School District’s three-year faith theme, “Faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13). Love, as a virtue, guides us to think about service and how we demonstrate our love and concern for others as an expression of our faith. Our selections today are about our daily call to Live, Laugh, and Love! Please enjoy…
