Since graduating from the University of Calgary vocal performance/ composition program, Allison Lynch has appeared onstage as a singer with several bands and orchestral groups (including the Rubbing Stone Ensemble, The Calgary Jazz Orchestra, The Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra and the Malaysian Symphony, Kulala Lumpur) and as an actor at almost all of Calgary’s major professional theatres.
She has received multiple awards and nominations for performance, musical direction and composing/ sound design, including the 2016 Betty Mitchell Award for outstanding Actress in a drama (Romeo and Juliet, The Shakespeare Company). Allison plays the violin, piano, ukulele and guitar and sings jazz, pop, R&B, folk and classical styles. Her album, Skin & Flame, is set for release this Spring.
