img4Born in 2000, Ayush Ghosh started learning sitar at the age of 5. Currently he trains under illustrious Guru Pandit Sanjoy Bandopadhyay. In October 2007, at a public performance in Singapore and to Indian media thereafter, Ayush was observed as an exceptional talent beyond his age and was proclaimed a “Child Prodigy”.

  • Indian National Television Doordarshan featured Ayush as “Wonder Child in the world of sitar”.
  • The Indian Express has named him “Music Miracle”
  • The Statesman featured Ayush as “Young Maestro, maturity beyond age”
  • Calgary Herald has mentioned “Ayush’s precision, musicality and confidence captivates audiences”

Winner of numerous awards, appreciation and scholarships for classical music, Ayush is also the recipient of “Youth of Distinction Award” for Arts and Culture.

Ayush’s notable solo performances include recitals at Singapore Indian Fine arts society, Calgary International children’s festival, Thunder Bay Annual classical music festival, Calcutta Sangeet Piyasi music festival, Institute of Culture India, Calgary Eckhardt Gramatte Hall, Indian Classical Music Festival 2016 to name a few.

Ayush is one of the rare artists to have performed for His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Known today as the youngest well known sitar player in the world, Ayush truly is a Cultural and Diversity Ambassador of Canada.
