Catherine Lippitt began her musical training in Calgary, Alberta, singing in Choirs. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Manitoba and a Masters of Music from the University of Western Ontario, both in Vocal Performance. She also holds a Licentiate Diploma from the Western Board of Music. In addition to choral music, Catherine also enjoys singing Opera, Oratorio, and in Recital. She has performed as a soloist with the Calgary Bach Festival Society, The Church of Latter-Day Saints Presentation of Messiah, and with the Music at Noon series for the ProArts Society. She is currently the Soprano Section Leader for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus and sang as an alternate this past season with Pro Coro, in Edmonton. She is a member of the Canadian Chamber Choir, a 17 voice, a capella ensemble made up of singers from across Canada. This group gets together twice a year, for a week at a time, to do master classes, workshops, and performances in communities all over the country. The next project will be in October 2013 in British Columbia. Catherine is a founding member of La VIe, a ladies vocal ensemble, with five other local singers. Their first concert was in June and they will be back for a Holiday concert in December.
Guitarist Brad Mahon has appeared throughout Portugal, the United States, and across his native Canada, as an award winning and acclaimed guitarist, educator, and scholar. He enjoys a multi-faceted, professional career working consistently and simultaneously for several universities and conservatories (Mount Royal University, University of Calgary, Ambrose University, Royal Conservatory of Music) in addition to touring and recording with the Oberon Guitar Trio, East West Guitar Duo, and as a soloist. His formal education is highlighted by a Doctorate in Musicology from the University of Calgary. Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Brad now lives in Cochrane, Alberta and sometimes, in Kimberley, British Columbia. www.BradMahon.com
