Frank Lynch received his music training in Toronto, at St.Michael’s Choir School, the Royal Conservatory, and the University of Toronto. Frank was the gold medalist for his Associate piano exam at the University of Western Ontario. He was a piano teacher at St. Michael’s Choir School, accompanist to the St. Michael’s Boys Choir and assistant organist at St.Michael’s Cathedral.
Working also in the commercial field in Toronto and Calgary, Frank has played just about every kind of gig from radio to theatre, hotels, and even a circus band.
In this concert, Frank will play a little of every style, from Chopin to Cole Porter, He will explain who really invented Boogie Woogie, and how Mozart was robbed!
For the last 27 years, Frank has been the music director and Organist at St.Mary’s Cathedral, where his wife Gabriele is Cantor. As a choral composer, he is published in the Catholic Book of Worship.
Frank is the proud Dad of well known actor- singer/composer Allison Lynch, and psychologist/drummer Shane Lynch. Frank also teaches piano, with an emphasis on jazz and pop styles.
