Hello Moth started in 2012, playing at small venues and open mics around Calgary. He quickly established himself as one of the city’s most innovative performers thanks to his novel hybridization of electronic and singer-songwriter music styles.
Hello Moth’s 2013 album Infinitely Repeated received wide airplay on community and college radio and was nominated for Best Electronic Record in the 2014 Western Canadian Music Awards.
The music video for ‘Clouds in Cloudless Skies’ was debuted in New York City with a live performance by Hello Moth, receiving comprehensive coverage from The Creators Project (Intel and Vice).
Hello Moth has gone on to play several high-profile events, including opening for St. Vincent at Sled Island 2014, playing at Calgary Folk Festival 2014, and performing at TEDxYYC 2015.
He has also enjoyed success on the pop charts as the producer and co-writer of Jocelyn Alice’s 2015 breakthrough hit, ‘Jackpot’ (Certified Gold in Canada).
Hello Moth is currently recording a follow-up to Infinitely Repeated, to be released in fall 2016.
