Summer Winds
A new collective of some of Calgary’s finest wind players brings to vivid life music for flute, oboe, clarinet, horn & bassoon.
The varied tone colours of this combination are the inspiration for American composer Samuel Barber’s languid and evocative “Summer Music.”
Our Summer Serenade program continues with light and witty music from France, a bit of Mozart, and even a take on a tango classic.
Emily Phernambucq, flute
Aidan Dugan, Oboe
Natalia Peric, clarinet
Megan Van Horne, horn
Jonathan Gresl, bassoon
This new formation of wind players is made up of five artists very busy on Calgary’s stages. Our players have performed with the Calgary Phil and Calgary Opera, Rocky Mountain Symphony and Symphony of the Kootenays (BC) amongst many other groups in the area.
Natalia Peric and Jonathan Gresl were featured in Covid-restricted Wind Trio Program for ProArts in June 2021, which can be viewed at this link.
