Eva Toncheva Duo; violin & guitar

Guitarist Austin Culler is a graduate of guitar and music theory from the University of British Columbia. There, he studied the classical guitar under Daniel Bolshoy and Alec Pearson. Currently, he resides in Lethbridge Alberta where he studies under Iliana Matos and contributes to the University of Lethbridge Vicon Movement Analysis Lab. In addition to the classical guitar, Mr. Culler also works as a jazz guitarist in the Lethbridge area.

Eva Toncheva brings her portfolio of experience performing in orchestra and chamber projects around Europe and North America, while Rob Maciak contributes the knowledge he has acquired from doing West African and East Asian world music engagements. Both are classically trained musicians who regularly play shows with professional symphony orchestras in Alberta and British Columbia, while both also enjoy venturing beyond the borders of the traditional to embody the flare of colourful music from around the world.

This concert is the third in a series of five Distinctive Performers Concerts generously sponsored by : SCARBORO
