On the Road
The theme of this concert is inspired by the many beautiful songs about the road, both literally and as metaphor. Songs include Ruth Elaine Schram’s setting of Robert Frost’s poem The Road Not Taken, James Taylor’s That Lonesome Road, Route 66 by Kirby Shaw, Damien Robitaille’s Le Touriste du Temps, an original arrangement of Stan Roger’s Northwest Passage and more. -F.R. musical director
