On November 14, Regina pianist-composer David McIntyre will be in concert and conversation in an intimate noon hour presentation. Audiences will be treated to a program of McIntyre’s own music, as well as a discussion about his compositional process and his career as a composer.
David McIntyre is an active composer and concert pianist on the Prairie scene. He regularly performs with his trio, Contrasts; has received numerous commissions including Butterflies and Bobcats by the Eckhardt-Grammaté National Music Competition in 2004; and was the composer-in-residence for the Regina Symphony Orchestra, where his works were broadcast on CBC’s Symphony Hall.
Don’t miss this chance for a behind-the-scenes look at how music is created and to understand what goes on in the minds of Canada’s living composers!
This concert is presented in co operation with the National Music Centre and the Canadian Music Centre Prairie Region.
