AFGHANISTAN: REQUIEM FOR A GENERATION (PREVIEW)

To commemorate the end of Canada’s military mission to Afghanistan, and to celebrate the commitment and selflessness of our countrymen and women who served, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and High Performance Rodeo have commissioned two esteemed Canadian artists – war poet Suzanne Steele and composer Jeffrey Ryan – to create a new, distinctly Canadian, requiem.

The completed project will premiere in November 2012, but this January, we present a work-in-progress that provides a glimpse into this multi-faceted project.
