Olga Kotova (violin) and Dmitry Nesterov (piano) have played together since they were 17 and named themselves Duo Solista to reflect their dedication to being both solo artists and life partners.
For this concert, John will be performing as a soloist, with songs for piano, guitar, and voice. He’ll perform a selection of his own music and several familiar folk and jazz numbers, with special attention to the theme of mountains and rivers.
Tricia Edwards’ musical journey has taken many diverse paths. With formative years spent training and performing in the classical realm, to more recent years playing in the jazz idiom, to her current passion in exploring the world of latin music, Tricia seeks to incorporate all of these languages into her musical expression.
Respected soloists in their own right, Søren and Laec both have competed in local, provincial, and national music competitions and have travelled across much of Canada with their music. They have competed many times at the Alberta Music Festival Association’s Provincial Music Festival, placing in Violin, Viola, Cello, Chamber and Sonata classes, and in 2019 Søren toured Spain as the youngest member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.

Harp Angel harpist, Deborah Nyack, is one of the premiere harpists in the world today.
