Dancing Parkinson’s Project

140204_edit_dance_therapy-0003The Dancing/Parkinson’s Calgary Project is titled “I Always Look Forward to Tuesdays” and tells the story of a weekly dance class for people with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners.

Part of a national research project, “I Always Look Forward to Tuesdays” uses personal perspectives to illustrate how social dancing contributes to quality of life.

Creator and director Anne Flynn is a Dance Studies scholar, a tireless advocate of dance in education and community, and Professor at the University of Calgary.

This is the second in a series of three concerts co-presented with the 2015 High Performance Rodeo, Calgary’s International festival of the Arts.
