Here Comes Treble is a quartet of friends who share a passion for music. Throughout the years, they have sung in different groups and performed on various stages. They explore different music genres (from classical to modern jazz) and they love challenging and unique song arrangements. A band teacher, a retired customer service specialist, a Spanish teacher, and a retired geophysicist come together to share with you their love of music and present songs from different eras, with a special touch.
In December of 2021, Here Comes Treble was invited for the second time to perform in person at the Calgary Carol Festival for the audience of more than 800, plus the streaming viewers. Most recently, HCT was a featured artist at the Varsity Stage and has entertained the summer crowd at the Millarville Farmers’ Market. The quartet is delighted to be part of the ProArts Noon Concert series. HCT sings many a cappella songs, but for this performance they will be joined by John Vooys, a talented musician who will accompany them on the piano, guitar, and with beatboxing.
Here Comes Treble will share a variety of covers in tight four part treble harmony. Some will be a cappella, some with the accompaniment of piano or guitar or beatboxing. The songs range from 1940’s Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy to current day with a nod to most of the decades in between.
