This much anticipated annual event features three of Calgary’s more prominent oil patch community choirs – Talisman Energy, Suncor Energy and ConocoPhillips! Each choir presents a short program and then all are combined for a remarkable and moving MASS ENERGY choral finale. A perennial audience favourite, this is a great concert to kick-off the Christmas choral season!
Bandura Soul will be performing traditional Ukrainian folk songs as well as music from contemporary Ukrainian composers on the themes of Mother, Love and Ukraine.
To suit the beautiful resonance of the Cathedral’s Gothic architecture, Prashant will perform his meditative compositions using bamboo flute and various blown and plucked and percussion instruments backed by hand-crafted sound textures and ambient percussion.
