Graceful Company is a Calgary ensemble of pipe organists, singers and brass instrumentalists.
Saskatchewan native, Chellan Hoffman, moved to Calgary in 1992, and has been involved as a church organist and freelance musician ever since. She is currently the assistant music director at Grace Presbyterian Church. She enjoys sharing the history of the pipe organ with the public, and has been involved in several educational programs and organ demonstrations held at Calgary’s universities, churches and concert halls. Chellan has recently graduated with a Master of Music degree in organ performance from the University of Calgary.
Winnipeg native, Colin Redekop, moved to Calgary in 2007, and is currently the music director of Grace Presbyterian Church. He is a recent University of Calgary graduate with a Master of Music degree in organ performance, and also holds degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky, and the University of Winnipeg.
Calgary native, Christine Tuturea, is a dynamic singer who can equally captivate and wow her audience with operatic arias, spirituals or Broadway show tunes. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado (2005) and holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. Since moving back to Calgary, Christine has had the opportunity to perform as a repeat soloist with the Calgary Bach Festival Society, the Calgary ProArts Society, and as a member of the ensemble, Graceful Company.
Atlantic Canada native, Rosalee Morrison, studied at Mount Allison University and the University of Calgary. In 1980, she co-founded the Foothills Brass Quintet and for over 30 years she has had an extensive and impressive performing career as a french horn soloist and ensemble musician. She brings innovation and fun to any ensemble she joins, and is committed to sharing her art with her audience.
Chris Morrison is a freelance musician based in Calgary and the co-founder of the Foothills Brass Quintet (1980). Chris and the Foothills Brass have presented up to 200 events each year in Canada, the USA, and overseas. You can read more about Chris and the quintet at www.foothillsbrass.ca
