Sterling Hunte got his start in Liverpool, England and has now been in the music business for over fifteen years, performing adn recording regularly in his home base of Calgary.
Sterling was honoured to appear in the 1988 Olympic cultural Festival, where I performed an original composition and also performed with The Nylons. Another memorable performance was a three night Latin concert with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra in 1994.
In 2003 Sterling produced my first recording “Sterling’s Own”. and in 2005 he was winner of the coveted local Calgary Calypso Monarch competition.
Sterling received two nominations for Gospel Song of the Year at the 31st Gospel Music Association Canada Covenant Awards in 2009.
Just this year Sterling released his new recording Creation Story.
Sterling’s diversity playing steel drums, and other instruments, as well as his unique song writing and vocal abilities have made him a crowd pleaser at concert performances.
This concert marks Sterling’s third appearance in the ProArts@Noon Concert Series and we look forward to his unique world music artistry!
