A mixed-voice, non auditioned, community choir, Vocal Latitudes has made several appearances in the ProArts at Noon series and has performed at seniors residences and community events around the city. The group’s repertoire includes gospel, jazz, world music, pop and classical works.
The choir is directed by Frank Rackow with accompaniment by Faye White.
For this special performance, Vocal Latitudes has chosen songs on the theme, For the Beauty of the Earth. Genres will include, gospel, jazz, African, hymns, pop, sufi chants, Haida love songs and chanson francophone, featuring compositions by Michel Rivard, Ian Tyson, John Rutter, Ian Tamblyn, Brian Tate and Coco Love Alcorn, among others. It’s a varied and charming program of vocal work, sure to delight all audiences.
