Join Calgary Opera McPhee Artists Katelyn Bird, Maria Milenic, George Theodorakopoulos, and Ryan Nauta for some of the most beautiful repertoire in the art song canon. Featured composers include Clara Schumann, Hildegard of Bingen, and Canadians composers Alice Ho, Micheline Saint-Marcoux, Ana Sokolovic. Great composers exploring love, loss, joy, and pathos through the female compositional gaze in a not-to-be-missed program!
Each season Calgary Opera provides emerging professional artists with the opportunity to study and perform with the support of industry professionals. The program serves as a bridge between academic programs and the professional world of opera, offering the experience and practical training necessary to succeed as a self-employed artist in a highly competitive international environment.
