A VAUDEVILLE AFTERNOON
Come enjoy the kind of songs you might have heard on the music hall stage 100 years ago. Featuring a selection of well-known and lesser-known tunes, Canadian fare, as well as a sneak peak at original songs in a vaudeville style from my new solo show.– Steven Morton
STEVEN MORTON, TENOR
As a versatile performer in plays, musicals and operas, it has been said that Steven Morton has “some mighty special acting, singing and clowning chops” (Calgary Herald). He’s also recognized as having a “unique and mellifluous” tenor voice (Winnipeg Free Press). In addition to his roles on and off the stage, Steven works as a choral director, most recently with Rosebud Theatre and School of the Arts.
Aside from work as a church soloist and teaching private music lessons, Steven considers himself a Fringe Artist (writer, designer, producer, performer, promoter, etc.), having toured to nine festivals across Canada since 2021. His critically acclaimed solo show, “Drag Me to the Opera,” has been performed over 85 times, winning multiple awards.
