Calgary Concert Opera, founded in 2011, has performed 13 complete live operas in concert format, including famous works like Carmen, Rigoletto, La Traviata, and Samson et Dalila. Over 85 professional and aspiring opera singers from across Canada have participated, collaborating with groups such as the Foothills Philharmonic Opera Chorus, Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra, 12 Musas Flamenco, Compass Performances Studios, Calgary Civic Symphony, Toronto’s Opera by Request and Alberta Vocal Arts.
