Sixteen year old pianist Georgeanne van Helden has been a National finalist in the Canadian Music Competition four times and she recently placed third in the provincial round of the CFMTA National Piano Competition in Red Deer.
This corporate choir continues to challenge itself with more complex pieces, mixing contemporary favourites with classical compositions, and having a lot of fun along the way!
Currently, Lana Henchell is spearheading a performance and touring program—Soundboard Music Tour—which aims to promote classical music, offer educational enrichment to aspiring musicians and create awareness of the arts in Alberta.
A mixed-voice, non auditioned, community choir; Vocal Latitudes repertoire includes gospel, jazz, world music, pop and classical works. The choir is directed by Frank Rackow with accompaniment by Faye White.
The Vocal Academy program is a supplement to private voice lessons, focusing on the educational needs of the developing singer and offering large and small ensemble performing experience.
Brad’s ProArts@Noon concert will feature a variety of solo guitar music from the Old World, New World, and even from Saskatchewan!
As a writer and recording artist Johnny has received much critical acclaim as the recipient of 7 Global Music Awards for his discography of 5, nomination for an AMPIA award for best original film score for Burlesque Assassins, and YYCMA nomination for Jazz Artist of the Year 2016.
His proficiency on numerous keyboard instruments such as piano, electric piano, organ, accordion, and synthesizers, has enabled him to carve a niche in the Alberta music scene as an eclectic performer and in demand session musician.
The Emerging Artist Development Program is intended to benefit Canadian singers who have completed advanced or graduate-level training at a music school, conservatory or university opera program.
There is no concert scheduled for Wednesday, April 12 as the ProArts@Noon Concert Series will be taking a break during Easter week!
