Eileen Kosasih is a violinist and visual artist. She has a B. A. Music (violin), M. Music (orchestral conducting), and recently returned to academia to pursue a M. A. Fine and Decorative Arts and Design at Sotheby’s Institute of Art (December 2021). You can find her actively freelancing around Alberta and interior B.C. She is Principle 2nd Violin for the Symphony of the Kootenays.
Tim Plait is a familiar face on the East Kootenay music scene. He leads an active professional life as an accompanist and collaborative player for music festivals and classical music examinations, pianist in the jazz ensemble Take 4, principal pianist for the Symphony of the Kootenays, and as a community and church musician. He also enjoys arranging and composing music. Tim is a graduate of the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s Diploma program (Piano Performance, Piano Teaching, and Accompanying) and currently teaches piano and theory in Kimberley and Cranbrook.
Eileen Kosasih and Tim Plait will perform a fresh, curated selection of mainly 20th century works for violin and piano. On the program are compositions by Bartok, Arvo Part, Piazolla, Cui and more.
