Since the fall of 2015, the Repsol choir has been under the direction of musicologist Bruce Petherick, an internationally renowned musician, composer, educator and musicologist, originally from Melbourne, Australia, who now calls Canada home. Alberta artist Ron Proctor has accompanied on piano since the choir’s conception 17 years ago. This four-part chorus doesn’t shy away from complex arrangements and sings everything from contemporary favourites to classical compositions. In additional to traditional holiday pieces, the Fall 2019 season features Gordon Lightfoot’s Song For A Winter’s Night, and Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s Over The Rainbow / What A Wonderful World, both arranged by the choir’s director Bruce Petherick.
