Founded by Calgary soprano Kathleen Morrison, Alberta Vocal Arts (AVA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing opera to the people. Since 2023, AVA has produced fully staged operas, immersive concerts, and educational performances that celebrate the classical vocal arts while engaging new audiences. From rooftop performances to our smash “Aria Going to the Opera?” edu-concerts at Studio Bell, AVA connects audiences and artists through accessible, high-quality vocal experiences. AVA champions collaboration, community partnerships, and meaningful opportunities for mid-level professional artists to shine right here in Calgary.
