Almost Noise is the electrifying new collaboration between percussionist Chris Sies and guitarist Darren Young — two genre-blurring artists who thrive where rock energy meets classical precision.
Their debut program, Simple Songs, celebrates the beauty in what’s often dismissed as “low art.” With music that pulls from rock, pop, jazz, and post-minimalist soundscapes, the duo reimagines what chamber music can be — visceral, emotional, and defiantly alive.
From shimmering grooves to lush electronic textures, the duo celebrates the beauty in “simple” music and invites audiences to hear the familiar in a whole new way!
