
Bruce Petherick is an Autistic musician, advocate, and coach based in Vancouver. Originally from Australia, he moved to Canada in 2001. His formal training includes a Master’s in Computer Music and studies in composition and improvisation.
His diverse career began as a percussionist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, later switching to piano. He has toured with the Count Basie and Woody Herman big bands, accompanied Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, and worked internationally as a music director for theatre.
After a hiatus from performing when he was the Autistic Advocate with Autism Canada, he has recently returned to music.
He now works as a film/TV composer, leads the postmodern classical trio “Crimson Crescendo,” and serves as Artistic Director of the White Rock Symphony Orchestra.
