Each season, Calgary Opera’s Emerging Artist Development Program provides eight young singers with the opportunity to study and perform under a professional staff of teachers and performers.
The program serves as a bridge between academic programs and the world of opera, offering the experience and practical skills necessary to succeed as a self-employed professional in a highly competitive international environment.

What shouts ‘OPERA’ more than the glorious music of the famous Italian composers? Calgary Opera’s 2019-2020 Emerging Artists will sing the operatic and song hits of Giacomo Puccini, Vincenzo Bellini, Gaetano Donizetti, with a special anniversary nod to Rossini, along with a few surprises!
