Morningside Music Bridge is a unique program for gifted students of violin, viola, cello, piano and clarinet, ages 12 to 18, linking them with the international music community and helping transform them into global artists.
MRU Morningside Music Bridge Festival ‘international music exchange’ has hosted gifted young musicians from some of the world’s leading music schools since 1997.
For audiences, MMB is a month-long classical music festival celebrating exceptional young international as well as local artists and the program’s esteemed faculty members at concerts and events at venues across the city.
Morningside Music Bridge is internationally recognized for its excellence. An independent evaluation conducted by the Department of Canadian Heritage described the program as being “without peer in Canada and among the very best in the world.”
The outstanding faculty, drawn from many of the world’s leading music schools, offer student participants the opportunity to challenge themselves and to push to new levels of achievement.
