Calgary Arts Summer School’s Madeleine Dickson

Madeleine Dickson
Madeleine Dickson started piano lessons at age 5, and is now a grade 11 student at Ernest Manning High School. She is part of the Mount Royal senior piano academy which gives her many performance opportunities. Her repertoire includes four piano concertos. She has competed in the provincial round of the Canadian Music Competition, the C3 competition, the Calgary Kiwanis Music Festival, and the Contemporary Showcase where she has been a regular recipient of awards. She attended the CASSA piano camp for five years, where she enjoyed many positive musical experiences.  She is currently working towards her ARCT exam in piano performance, and has received scholarships for high marks in previous exams. Madeleine also takes voice lessons and loves to read. She is working towards becoming a lifeguard and is a certified swim teacher.

The Calgary Arts Summer School Association (CASSA) started twenty years ago with the brilliant idea of providing a summer workshop for piano students. We now offer seven fine arts courses and workshops and an annual recital. Our courses are designed for fun and education for a wide range of interests and ages.

Under the direction of President and Artistic Director Linda Kundert-Stoll, CASSA has provided quality arts education with a high level of professional instruction within a completely unique, inter-disciplinary summer arts school. Whether students are only beginning their artistic education or are advanced in their studies, CASSA has something for everyone! CASSA is the summer school for the arts!
