The Echéa Quartet is a London-based string quartet formed in 2017 at the Royal Academy of Music. They have recently been awarded the role as Fellowship String Quartet for 2019/20 at the Royal Academy of Music, London.

This concert presents music of Robert de Visée, a lutenist in the court of Louis XIV, played by Tim Janz on one-keyed Baroque flute and Ralph Maier playing the theorbo, the long necked lute that was developed by the Florentine Camerata as a continuo instrument.
