James Picken is an Associate Director of Music Ministry at Knox Presbyterian Church, Accompanist of the Calgary Men’s Chorus, an organ recitalist with several recordings to his credit, and an active piano teacher.

Featuring students from Mount Royal University Conservatory’s Academy and Advanced Performance Program.
This concert presents music of Robert de Visée, a lutenist in the court of Louis XIV, played by Tim Janz on one-keyed Baroque flute and Ralph Maier playing the theorbo, the long necked lute that was developed by the Florentine Camerata as a continuo instrument.
