The Talisman Energy Choir is a recreational choir formed in the Spring of 2002, under the direction of Theresa Wasden, and accompanied by local artist Ron Proctor at the piano. Currently in its nineteenth season and ninth year of operation, the Choir takes on the role of company ambassador seriously, performing eight to ten times each season at various downtown and suburban venues. Having sung on the national stage at the Knox Carol Festival, and having released “Wreath of Carols”, a full-length CD and fundraiser for the United Way of Calgary, this four-part choir continues to challenge itself with more complex pieces, mixing in contemporary favourites along with classical compositions, and having a lot of fun along the way!
