Wordfest sparks lively, illuminating and meaningful conversations between Calgary’s readers and the world’s most engaging writers. Their year-round literary events culminate in a 10-day festival every October, and are programmed to inspire Calgarians to live more creative and empathetic lives. ProArts co-presentation features four Festival authors.
Ayush is one of the rare artists to have performed for His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Known today as the youngest well known sitar player in the world, Ayush truly is a Cultural and Diversity Ambassador of Canada.

Bruce has been a freelance performer and composer for over 30 years and has mixed his love of classical music with his interest in jazz and other creative musics throughout his professional performing career.
Calgarian soprano Brittany Rae, recently completed a Master of Arts in Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In June 2015, Brittany performed the role of ‘Pamina’ (Die Zauberflöte) with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. She is accompanied by prize winning pianist Claire Butler, a graduate of the Royal College of Music, London UK.

Moël (Mewael Hadera) is a singer-songwriter from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. After moving to Calgary, Alberta in late 2014, he started writing soulful acoustic-pop songs filled with emotion.
